Leading programmatic stakeholder engagement to support the delivery of the Inland Rail project. The project was in various stages from reference design to construction with a wide variety of stakeholders to be consulted with across a variety of channels. Responsible for functional assurance, process oversight, team resourcing/budget, issues management, development and implementation of engagement plans and development of the engagement component of contractual documents.

Responsible for external affairs across media, industry and stakeholder relations. I was responsible for the development and implementation of strategy in these areas, as well as relationships and the development of associated materials in a fast-paced environment. Responsible for digital strategy, marketing strategy and collateral, web, publications, customer research and analysis and media relations. Oversight of the community relations function for John Holland.

Responsible for managing a team of 8 people to proactively undertake the community relations and stakeholder interactions for the project. This was done in a challenging and issues rich environment, with construction taking place in a heavily populated urban environment. Construction impacts to be communicated and mitigated for more than 6,000 directly impacted local stakeholders included noise, dust, property access issues and night work.
