Here in Greyton, in the Western Cape of South Africa, we are a small town setting big examples. We will be the first town in South Africa to be plastic shopping bag free, we are the first to build a community facility from eco-bricks (plastic bottles stuffed with cleaned, dried, non-recyclable plastics), the first to hold a festival on a dumpsite, the first to bring together volunteers and schoolchildren to rehabilitate part of our dumpsite into a Green Park.
