I've spent my career cultivating a focus on international business and trade. This has evolved to expertise in using software and systems to enable companies to move their goods around the world. Understanding the importance of compliance with international trade regulations, and pairing this with efficient system processes allows me to support large global customers for their needs.Additionally, as Director of a department that owns the software, I provide leadership for the direction of the product and the team member activities. From the creation of a business plan, to executing on an agile software development roadmap, and providing executive-level board meeting updates, I cover the full range of responsibilities for leading an independent profitable software business. Finally, as a people manager, I take great pride in fostering leadership among my employees. This has entailed both compassionate and tough conversations to help others find their potential; plus, giving them the opportunity to take risks and grow through the tension of encountering challenges.
