A suite of programmes was developed across multiple occupational profiles within the DSP in line with their mission and values. This suite of 7 programmes is an overarching introduction to public administration and social protection policy in Ireland. The development of the suite at levels 6/7/8 represents implementation of the strategy to professionalise DSP activities and to specifically provide staff with the Confidence and Competence to perform their role to the best of their ability in line with universal academic norms . To date 1,500+ DSP staff have graduated from the suite of programmes. -

Nicola developed a unique, internationally recognised blended learning MSc qualification in International Business Development for EOP candidates which has since been replicated throughout Ireland and beyond. Nicola also designed bespoke life skills and intercultural training for non-graduates. This programme provided unemployed non-graduates with proficiency in literacy & linguistic skills within a host placement in the EU. The European Experience Programme had a significant impact on the employability skills & employment rates of the participants.Nicola also designed, secured funding for & implemented Irelands first blended learning MSc in International Business Development in conjunction with IBEC & DIT. This unique programme of study was designed in response to an assessment of the needs of industry & recent graduates. This model has now been replicated across education / industry partnerships throughout Ireland & has successfully graduated 300+MSc students since its inception.
