OwnerG-Power.Dk Jan 2001 - Dec 2011When I in early 2001 got the idea for a website dealing with my great passion for cars, it was brought about partly because I'm very interested in cars, but also because I think it's exciting to create websites. It turned out fairly quickly that there were people who shared my interest. Within only 2 years, G-Power became one of Denmark's most visited websites with a focus on images of cars, tuning and styling. The website was expanded regularly to not only deal with cars, but suddenly also pictures of trucks, dragsters, tractorpullors, scooters, speedboats, motorcycles, etc. Along the way I found out that I had created a gathering place for young people like myself, and I was constantly continued to develop since then it fit the target audience. There were jokes, funny pictures / videos, online games, links to internet radio, etc. I also set up a webshop where I sold T-shirts, stickers with various motives which I had designed by myself and merchandise. It gave me a business sense and I struggled to service all customers within the agreed time. I could not afford to have a large stock, so I had to make good agreements with local suppliers to be sure they were highly flexible and could deliver on time, so I could get things packed and forwarded to my customers. It was a challenge for me to manage and it took much time. It was nice to see that my work now could be rewarded a little, although it was not the huge profits i made. With the various initiatives which I had done over the years, I could finally see that it has become a succes what I had created for the visitors. And it paid off.The site had in year 2003/2004 average 2200 visitors a day. In total, 1,230,000 visited the website. On Google, I've managed to achieve a Pagerank of 4/10, which is pretty good.With time, there has unfortunately not been time to continue working with the website to the same extent as I did first. Therefore the website is now unfortunately not on some top lists.
