My role as Chief of Staff acts as a formal mechanism of operational and strategic support to the CEO and the NHSA core team. Due to the imminent implementation of the Health and Social Care Act (2012), I designed and implemented a new model of service for the ‘new world’ organisations that were about to emerge across the health services, including contractual negotiation with NHS and public health stakeholders and expansion of the Office’s geographical footprint mapped to the geography of the new NHS England Region North/ Public Health England North.
