I’ve been the resident Coach at Hatmill since 2017 and in a nutshell, my job is to help our people perform better and do their very best for our clients. I joined the Hatmill team to support the introduction of a “Teal” way of working, ensure we avoided the pitfalls of traditional professional services firms and instead create a place we all want to work. I meet with each of the team (if they want to!) once a month and coach them on a wide variety of topics - both personal and professional - because it helps everyone show up and do their best work every day. Delivery of large scale HR change projects and responsible for European HR of c. 2000 employees across 26 countries. Remit included Employee Relations, Permanent & Contract Resourcing & RPO Management, HR Shared Service, HR systems (Workday), Analytics, HR Projects; HR Budget Management & for many years, Business Partnership.

Led HR Business Partnership; Talent Aquisition & Employee Relations Functions. Company wide implementation of annual HR cycle including performance management; salary & bonus review. Many & varied projects including:• Led transformation programme to create lasting change within the HR team• Creation of Resourcing centre of excellence resulting in RPO implementation; cost per hire reduction from 24% to 8% & reduced time to offer from 50+ to 35 days. • Implementation of Career/Reward Framework (twice!) across Visa Europe in 26 countries.

Reporting to the HR Director to provide HR consultancy to the CIO & CFO.

MFI was a manufacturing and multi-channel retail business. I provided HR support for Group Board Directors of Corporate Functions (CTO; CIO; CFO) & Business Development.• Led HR team to support a major change programme to implement a company-wide IT solution.• Integration of the Sofa Workshop business to MFI following acquisition in Nov 2002. • TUPE of catering function across 8 unionised sites.

At the time, Europe’s largest construction project costing £13 billion. I partnered with the Implementation Director to provide a generalist HR service. Complex customer group included permanent, consultants as well as external Alliance Partners within a multidisciplinary project environment. • Restructured the ‘Implementation’ area of the project from 2 to 4 delivery units. • Chair of an ‘HR Alliance Board’ to amalgamate procedures and practices across the project. This involved 13 independent Rail Partner companies.• Maintained the ‘status quo’ and minimised employee turnover in the light of Railtrack’s entry into Railway Administration (Sept 01).• Implemented new job evaluation system and associated benefits – resulted in the most successful roll out within both WCRM and Railtrack.
