This management and performance consultancy role for leading global oil, gas and construction companies requires me to tailor sports psychology principles, developed through my athletic and coaching experience, to improve the corporate and management culture from the shop floor to the boardroom. The objective of this bespoke training service is to resolve internal corporate conflicts, adhere to and improve health and safety standards in line with HSE statutory requirements, lead change in culture and improve motivation. (Client list includes BP, Shell, Nexen, Network Rail and Morgan Sindal).

As Director of Sport my experience within each level of the organisation allowed me to develop managerial and directorial competencies in the corporate sporting sector. I directed a team of 12 international consultants responsible for the successful annual placement of 700 student-athletes. I trained new recruits, established a global ethos and brand vision. My remit required the development of strategic partnerships, increased profitability and establishing our industry position in this competitive sector. This role focused primarily on international business development, successfully resulting in partnerships with: Chelsea FC, Totenham Ladies FC, Watford FC, Local and national governing bodies such as The England Football Association (St. George’s Park), The Scottish Football Association, Welsh Hockey, Scottish Hockey and Irish Hockey.

Initially employed as an international sports consultant I was quickly promoted to Director of Scouting this role comprised of developing a global scouting network and athlete database. Identifying talented athletes who have the ability, motivation and academic ambition to play full time sport in a competitive environment, whilst completing a University degree. This role required me to give presentations to approximately 300 people within the higher education and coprorte sectors. I was tasked with looking after all European enquiries whilst solely responsible for the effective direction of all domestic activities.
