Participated as part of the Mechanisms of Behaviour Group at the University of St Andrews studying the stress hormone (Corticosterone) changes of caged zebra finches in response to the availability of bathing water. My experience yielded valuable knowledge and experience in laboratories as I worked on Radioimmuno Assays (RIA) and various husbandry work. Additionally, I was responsible for analysing hundreds of hours of footage regarding the behaviour of zebra finches in response to various sounds. Scholarship funding was received from the British Society of Neuroendocrinology (BSN). Additionally, funding was awarded but not accepted from the Universities Federation for Animal Welfare (UFAW).
