With 4 years of experience in quality assurance, including 3 years in Agile environments, I have a strong foundation in software testing with a focus on developing and maintaining automated and manual test suites. I am skilled in troubleshooting complex issues, and am proficient in QA processes including end-to-end testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing, and black-box testing. I specialize in minimizing a team’s time spent on manual regression testing without sacrificing quality by spearheading an automation-first approach to testing. This has resulted in faster issue identification, improved testing efficiency, and a significant reduction in defects reaching production. In addition, I have optimized my team’s development and testing processes by parallelizing the work using shift-left principles meant to involve QAs earlier in the development lifecycle; this has the added benefit of ensuring QA personnel are fully utilized.In addition to my technical expertise, I take pride in mentoring and supporting colleagues towards becoming more proficient in test automation, which helps the organization as whole achieve the transition towards an automation-first QA process. My approach to quality assurance is deeply collaborative, and I believe that coaching teams to build testing into the development process ultimately leads to better outcomes and stronger software.
