Supervised the installation of 55 landscape projects. Scope of projects included hardscapes (patios, retaining walls, seat walls, fire pits, stair sets), annual & perennial plantings, and soil work for residential and commercial applications. Report directly to the Project Designer and Company Owner. Utilized project designs and project logs to direct installation, and track labor hours & materials to ensure plans were completed accurately and within budget. Developed alternative solutions when plan deviations occurred. Consulted with Design Team to review and agree on the most practical and cost effective solutions. Developed my landscape architecture skills by learning & completing hardscape installation projects. Expanded my leadership skills in landscape project management through active management of projects.

Directly manage team members by assigning work, organizing work flow, and delegating tasks. Conducted instructing/training and filling in when short staffed. Contributed to performance evaluations and performance improvement plans for student workers. Additionally able to reward team members for exemplary work. Promoted from a Team Member to Supervisor after one year of work at the dining hall.

Completed a wide variety projects including design & installation of new planting beds at park entrances, upkeep & redesign of existing beds, and general park maintenance. Supervised the landscape installation crew for a $300,000 Grafton Riverwalk Project on the Milwaukee River. Monitored the crew to ensure that project timeline was achieved, plans were followed, and provided progress updates to the Village Management Team. Reported directly to the Village Parks Director.

Worked independently, with the company owner, landscape foreman, and as a temporary crew leader on numerous projects. Projects included simple plantings, full home landscapes, retaining wall construction, brick work, and pruning. Assisted in the planting of cuttings, transfer potting, digging of stock in the nursery, as well as in the collection of stock. Completed loading and transporting of stock to job-sites or wholesalers. Gained the ability to read and interpret landscape design plans, and visualize designs prior to their completion. Acquired knowledge of many landscaping techniques and enjoyed hands-on experience with different plants and styles.

Worked as a dishwasher, cleaning, sorting, and returning the dishes to ensure that the restaurant could run. Learned the additional positions of busboy and cook to assist when the restaurant was short staffed. Trained new employees in proper restaurant techniques and to improve performance.
