This is an internship combined with a master thesis. This is the final step to obtain an EPFL Master's degree.Master thesis description: Automatic Fraud Detection in a high volume data stream from untrusted sources.- All end-user monitoring and analytics solutions worldwide are highly exposed to spam-type attacks; where an adversary floods the collection system with spam data in order to pollute the metrics, disturb operations or provide a smokescreen for more sophisticated attacks. Unlike generic Denial of Service attacks, these domain-specific attacks have no industry-standard solution so far. As the former becomes more and more expensive to conduct, hackers might be tempted to look at other forms of DoS, among which stands user tracking system spamming.
