The Engineering Line Support Team ensures that the instrument manufacturing line is primed to produce quality instruments as defined by released processes. They perform advanced troubleshooting and curate manufacturing data to advise project teams and management. This team conducts "firefighting" to quickly understand, address and escalate emerging issues-particularly in areas affecting instrument quality, reliability, and manufacturing line readiness. As needed they support sustaining, improvement, and development teams in engineering technician capacities. The Engineering Line Support Team contributes to continuous improvement through limited scope work instruction (WID) revisions, process improvements and Kaizen projects.

This engineering technician works within a manufacturing engineering team generally under the leadership of a more experienced individual (e.g. engineering and/or managers). This engineering technician uses experience and education to perform the types of technician activities that are generally considered within the realm of manufacturing engineering technician and any other expertise that might be held by this particular individual. This engineering technician is expected to work and communicate well with other team members and leadership as assigned in order to meet the goals of the project, the department, and the company.

The Instrument Tech IV is the senior technician on the manufacturing floor. This position is responsible for troubleshooting and assisting the lower technicians within instrument manufacturing. The other responsibilities covered by this position are maintaining the Calibration schedule, Software Validation, and Documenting all activities. This engineering technician uses experience and education to perform the types of technician activities that are generally considered within the realm of manufacturing engineering technician and any other expertise that might be held by this particular individual. Responsible forperforming a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on sub-assembly andsecondary sub-assembly components and finished goods. Has knowledge of commonly used cGMP concepts, practices, and procedures within the medical device field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision and reports to the BFDX Production Manager.

This is a full-time non-exempt position. Responsible for manufacturing and assembly of clinical andcommercial products. Utilizing attention to detail and fine motor dexterity, the Instrument ProductionTechnician III operates production equipment and assembles instrument components. Responsible forperforming a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on sub-assembly andsecondary sub-assembly components and finished goods. Has knowledge of commonly used cGMP concepts, practices, and procedures within the medical device field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision and reports to the BFDX Production Manager.
