researcher on a crispr/ cas9 based project working to genetically modify poplar to effect the ratio of lignin to cellulose, greatly effecting the cost effectiveness of using poplar as a source for bio fuel production. My job consists of making the constructs necessary to target and modify the genes, as well as lab maintenance and data logging.

work as a student assistant helping other students, professors, and community members find the resources and services they need in the library. I help them find books, research materials, provide them with calculators, study room keys and course books on reserve. I also maintain the book shelves and lead other student workers in special projects brought together by the library staff to better the experience and the resources available to everyone at Michigan Tech.
