I am confident that my hands-on experiences in the manufacturing industry coupled with my experience in taking designs from ideas to fully functioning products will make me a strong asset to your team.My professional career began at Troy Evans Contracting, which specializes in the design and construction of retail spaces. I began there inexperienced in the industry and with my eagerness of furthering my knowledge I developed many skills including planning, controlling, and coordinating all aspects throughout the construction process. Throughout the time spent there, I not only was able to fine-tune the skills I already possessed, but I became well traversed in the entire process from taking a blank building to what the client's needs are. I then began with Global Opportunities as the lead product designer, developing and designing industry-leading water evaporators for the oil industry. My involvement throughout the entire process from drafting products to the manufacturing of them gave me the ability to improve and streamline designs, also aid in better manufacturability.While working toward my Mechanical Engineering degree I gained experience of the necessary fundamentals behind the engineering process. With a sub-discipline in mechanical systems, I focused on classes that emphasize structural analysis, manufacturing processes, and design, all in an effort to reinforce my understanding of real-world systems and the theory behind them. The hands-on experience that I possess coupled with the theoretical knowledge behind how and why systems work, greatly contributes to my overall effectiveness as an engineer.I am a driven and focused individual who knows how to set goals and work to achieve them. I find myself calm and comfortable in high-paced and high-pressure environments mainly due to good organization, strong initiative, and my constant drive to achieve excellence.
