As an analyst in CONCITO's Cities of the Future program, I am responsible for developing an international portfolio of sustainability projects and partners. This includes sharing knowledge from projects such as DK2020 (climate action planning in Danish municipalities) with international stakeholders, learning from relevant projects in other countries, as well as building new projects and collaborations with international partners. I also works with assessing sustainability in urban development, for instance through the development of a monitoring system to follow up on municipal climate action plans. Finally, I contribute to the ClimatePol project, focusing on climate change adaptation in the Danish-German border region.

Time for the Planet is a non-profit company aiming to fund start-ups with a high potential to mitigate climate change:1) The company raises funds through actions (which do not generate any dividends - they are essentially donations).2) Innovators then submit their ideas, which are reviewed by volunteer assessors.3) Selected ideas are then evaluated more in-depth by a scientific committee and through market research.4) The chosen few are funded as promising start-ups to tackle climate change!Anyone can become an associate by investing as little as 1€: https://lnkd.in/ebaksHnA

I worked on various projects including:- Modelling stocks and flows of construction materials in the existing building stock, in order to develop future scenarios for circularity / urban mining. - Proposing practical guidelines for the implementation of Doughnut Economics principles within development projects, focusing in particular on how to set and assess sustainability targets linked with the planetary boundaries. This led to the publication of a manual and an open-source tool for biodiversity impact calculations.-Formulating recommendations for the harmonisation of building LCA declarations and limit values between Nordic countries.

Interdisciplinary research on multiple projects, including: - Quantitative analysis of future scenarios for the building sector (Beyond GDP Growth project). - Sensitivity of the outcomes of building life cycle assessment (LCA) to methodological choices (International Energy Agency, Energy in Buildings and Communities, Annex 72). - Requirements set by municipalities to promote sustainable construction. - Barriers to indoor space sharing (coworking, coliving, etc). - Role of LCA in decision processes during a construction project.I also worked on reports for Swedish national authorities on the following topics: - Elaboration of a mandatory climate impact declaration for buildings in Sweden. - Review of opportunities to use ICT to achieve sustainability targets.
