The Modelling & Simulation stream aims to define a common framework and understanding inside Airbus Group for architecting and developing in the right way (effective & efficient) our system products, industrial systems & services in transversal organizations. Project: "Aventra Platform"Harmonize all MBSE approach across the company, coordinate and contribute to the system modeling activities for all the product families and products development within the region of Derby (UK), Hennigsdorf (D) & Crespin (FR). Main achievements:• Create an enhanced system modelling methodology from operability concept down to technical analysis• Provide training and coaching across the region• Contribute to the definition of product families approach including requirement management, functional architecture and SMART Components. • Introduce Variability Concept and features models (MBPLE) on Aventra Platform using MagicDraw.• Investigate / Integrate MagicDraw and Controlbuild for simulation and V&V purpose during Vee cycle development • Leading sub-contractors Work packages for model execution activities (investigation of low-cost engineering capabilities)• Partnership / R&D with Argosim (Stimulus) for Requirements validation and execution• Generate C-Code out of model behaviour to integrate with tool simulation at Preliminary design phase• Administrate the system model repository in MagicDraw for all the models of the region• Define, implement and harmonize main indicators of performance for each system engineering activity across the region.• Centralize all the different projects of LOTrain, East Anglia, South West as part of product families using system modelling approach• Integration of Configuration Management and Change Management within MagicDraw• Model checking with validation rules & early validation through simulation• Participate to improve the Tool capabilities with NoMagic (Tool vendor) and promote MBSE benefits during European System Engineering Conferences• Digitalize performance indicators for system engineering activities into dashboards

Project: "Define MBSE Approach for London Crossrail Metro and LOTrain"Establish an MBSE methodology to provide MBSE models by doing reverse engineering with the existing solution documents (of Crossrail) in order to ensure interface and behaviour consistency in the whole train. In parallel, promote MBSE and its advantages to the Bombardier’s teams and management. After the adoption of MBSE, this approach has been applied on LOTrain as a pilot project.Modelling Activities-> Crossrail:• Model the expected behaviour - statemachines. functional architecture, scenarios etc - of the Power & Propulsion system based on the Architecture Documents (DSD).• Configuration & Execution of MBSE model (Driver Desk HMI + TCMS HMI) with associated test case scenarios.• V&V of models to find incoherencies / issues in the specification to highlight weaknesses of the DSD documents.• Mitigate the inconsistencies to reduce time-cost during integration phase. • Promote MBSE advantages VS Architecture Documents (DSD) in BT's engineering teams.->LOTrain• Establish system context between SOI & external environment (Driver, Signalling, etc...) with identification of Use Cases.• Modelization of functional architecture (structural & behavioural) with functional scenarios etc - of the Propulsion & Brakes system based on the carryover of Crossrail solution.• Specify the functional derived requirements associated to the functional analysis. • Implement the functional to the technical architecture. • Perform V&V based on the operational analysis needs integrated with other systems.Method / Coaching activities:• Contribute to the methodology definition for the different levels of analysis (OFT).• Define SysML profile for LOTrain (Stereotypes, structure etc ...).• Coach new members on SysML and methodology.Management Activities:• Define planning and related risks for the Propulsion & Brakes system modelling.• Model status follow-up.

Project: "SMART Metropolis platform"Define robust MBSE Methodology in order to specify the functional and technical architecture of the Train using Artisan Studio supported by SysML.Modelling Activities:• Define the model profile at operational, functional and technical levels.• Standardize the description of elements in the model.• Define interface library and properties.• Ensure interfaces coherence within the model.• Design model document for publication.Method / Coaching Activities:• Contribute to the Methodology definition for the different levels of analysis.• Provide training support and associated documentation to the functional architect team.• Ensure the correct application of the methodology within the team.Management Activities:• Contribute to the planning definition and related risks associated to the Methodology deployment• Model status follow up

Project: "Axonis Metro"Provide an ILS (Integrated Logistics Support) approach for Axonis Metro. In addition, to reduce maintenance cost through a LCC (Life Cycle Cost) solution and a tool to optimize the maintenance activities in the depot. Main Activities:• Analyze the Axonis architecture system to identify critical components, maintenance needs and equipment failure.• Define ILS Strategy Plan and ILS Guidelines (Maintenance plan, Operation and Maintenance documentation etc ...).• Design LCC tool and dimension maintenance depot activities.

Project: "Track Survey for Test and Commissioning"Project lead assistant to improve Test and Commissioning activities for signalling solution on multiple projects. The purpose was to design a Track Survey solution (hardware & software) in order to collect the track configuration of all signalling equipments (beacons, axle counters etc...) and verify that installation is aligned with the design.Main Activities:• Analyze the signaling railway solution: CBTC (Communication Based on Train Control).• Specify the requirements related to the Track Survey solution.• Define the architecture of the Track Survey tool.• Develop in Visual Basic the specific tool and user guide.• Benchmark of existing solution to collect track configuration.
