I am a Software Engineer at Zoox on the Behavior Foundation Model team.I previously was a Data Scientist on Zoox's Collision Avoidance System and Perception teams. My work focused on the verification and validation of machine learning models, particularly computer vision models deployed on autonomous vehicles. I executed this validation by extracting information from large quantities of autonomous driving data. Prior to Zoox, I earned a BA in Mathematics and an MS in Computer Science from Northwestern University with a focus on the mathematical foundations of data science. My machine learning research at Northwestern focused on optimizing the Transformer model for natural language processing. My database research focused on designing a query optimizer which utilized a cost model that took not only efficiency but also security into account.
