The Collective is an expansion of the NASA Space Apps Challenge, designed to build capacity and skills year-round. As a member of this dynamic community, I’ll be participating in workshops, engaging with NASA experts, and collaborating with fellow cohort members to harness NASA data for innovative solutions that create positive change locally and globally.My project focuses on sustainability and safety: I aim to repurpose commonly disposed batteries from items like vapes into bike lights. As biking is the primary form of transportation in Davis, my goal is to enhance nighttime safety for our biking community. 🚴‍♀️💡I’m excited to contribute to both environmental sustainability and local safety, and I look forward to learning, growing, and innovating with the Space Apps Collective!

Conducting tests to validate improvements in energy efficiency per meter relative to velocity for drones and UAVs.Developing and implement control algorithms for UAVs using python and MATLAB.Writing and utilize scripts to process and analyze data for performance evaluations.Performing repairs and maintenance on UAVs to ensure optimal operation.

Designed torpedo launcher, electronics compartment, and drop mechanism, prioritizing easy manufacturing.Worked with programmers and circuit designers to create an electronics compartment integrating control systems with mechanical components.Wrote thruster scripts using python, and MATLAB implementing PID loops.3D printed prototypes using skills from UC Davis Engineering Student Design Center training.
