Mechanical Engineer with more than 35 years of diversified experience in design, procurement, project management, site engineering, client services, material control, marketing, and administration activities related to major capital projects and services in the nuclear power industries. Currently works as Consultant in project management. Recently, held positions as Project Director of the Western Alberta Transmission Line project working for SNC-Lavalin Transmission & Distribution and Project Director of Gentilly 2 Life Extension working for AECL and Candu Energy. Previously held positions as Department Manager for AECL Montreal Engineering, as well as Project Director and General Manager, Engineering and Quality Surveillance for Cernavoda 2 Nuclear Power Plant, stationed at Cernavoda in Romania. Also held positions as General Manager Project Integration and Manager in functional and site engineering of CANDU 600Mwe nuclear power plants, as well as Technical Advisor to the Engineering Manager of Cernavoda NPP in Romania. Nicolas has delivered a number of projects on time and on budget and has 14 years of overseas hands on experience as the on site Engineering Manager and Project Director.
