PhD candidate in public health, specializing in infection prevention and control - IPC and in the development, implementation and evaluation of behavioral and organizational interventions in healthcare settings.My research focuses on the impact of organizational processes and of the physical environment on the risk of surgical site infections - SSI, as well as on the implementation of interventions and innovations to prevent surgical site infections. I am aslo interested in the impact of behavioral and organizational interventions and cutting-edge technological innovations on the attitudes and decisions of healthcare workers, in particular the factors determining adoption, implementation and sustainability.This research is mostly conducted using mixed methods based on implementation science methods (CFIR and TDF, ERIC), sociology of organizations and science & technology studies - STS, as well as on statistics, machine learning and systems-based methods (including social network analysis - SNA, agent-based simulation modeling - ABM and system dynamics - SD).My other research interests are the impact of organizational processes on patient safety, antimicrobial stewardship (esp. in primary care and long-term care settings), the surveillance of healthcare-associated infections, vaccination policy and vaccine hesitancy among healthcare workers, and the implementation of AI-based clinical decision support systems.
