Nicolas LaarmanManaging Director of POLLINIS France As a Paris-trained architect, Nicolas Laarman has always questioned the relationship between the built environment, landscapes, and nature. Inspired by the National Trust, an English institution that aims to protect the country’s natural and architectural heritage and has involved millions of citizen as members, Nicolas founded in 2012 the “Conservatoire des Fermes et de la Nature” which subsequently launched the Pollinis project. Two years later, the Conservatoire became POLLINIS, an independent non-profit organization that campaigns for alternative methods to intensive agriculture and massive use of pesticides in France and Europe.
