As winners of the Zahn Center Competition, we are fulfilling our mission to build toward a more sustainable and equitable path. We are working with our partners in Puerto Rico, Colombia, and Hawai'i to gather important household data, while educating students about waste management.

Working with the Harlem Gallery of Science and National Society of Black Physicists to mentor minority high school and middle school students on life and education.

Adjunct lecturer of course titled Industrial Ecologies and Life Cycle Analysis

My primary objective was to conduct research relavent to modeling low streamflow magnitude with the guidance of a NOAA scientist. I worked with NOAA's National Marine Fisheries Service, Economics Division. Some additional activities included hands on field research on the health of various coastal and riverine species.

Principal task: manage the student and professor exchange programs. This involves working closely with those selected for the program (60 students a year from/to universities in Europe and the Americas and 7-10 incoming and outgoing professors) to advise and mentor, communication with the various academic and administrative offices within the Universidad Central, and coordination with the receiving institutions.Outreach activities such as participation in international, regional, and local networks.Establishment of legal agreements between Universidad Central and other academic institutions with the goal of promoting internationalization of higher education. Have participated in the signing of agreements in Canada, USA, Mexico, and Peru.Present activities and objectives of the Direction of Inter-Institutional Relations for students and facultyPresent activities and data as necessary for peer reviews for institutional accreditationOffice administration activities such as budget management, designing and translating of contracts and agreements, and arranging meetingsPromote international opportunities such as academic exchange and international competitions to the academic community.Occasionally participate in international competitions that might benefit the university, such as Fulbright and 100,000 Strong in the Americas.
