Ph.D., Materials Scientist & Team manager with 10 years of experience in research, dedicated in finding solutions for our customers and delivering concrete results. My interests focus on the discovery of new processes and materials. Strong knowledge in industrial processes and materials characterization. At Eramet Ideas, I developed my skills in process engineering and extractive chemistry. I mainly work on the development of processes for metallurgical extraction, an more specifically for Li-ion batteries recycling. The target is the production of high purity materials starting from dismantled eV batteries. This allows me to reinforce my knowledge in solution chemistry, liquid/liquid extraction, materials precipitation, distillation, purification and leaching. I supervise research projects from lab to pilot scale, aiming to implement our ideas in our industries.Author of two utility patents, my various projects allowed me to travel in unique facilities like the APS Synchrotron in Argonne National Lab to probe nanometric modifications in bulk alloys, or in the Supercritical Group at the ICMCB of Bordeaux to investigate the phase transition of crystals in extreme environments and supercritical water. Another example is the observation of atomic diffusion and recombination of rare earths at the atomic scale through Atom-Probe Tomography analysis and Mössbauer measurements (Normandie Université, GPM).During my PhD I joined a very innovative project dedicated to rare earth recycling in magnetic materials. I discovered an environmentally friendly and low-cost recycling process for rare earths, using hydrothermal and supercritical treatment to crystallize neodymium nanoparticles using green chemistry design principles.In the NanoMagnetism Lab of Northeastern University, my research focuses on understanding the formation, structure, and magnetic character of the L10 FeNi phase (known in meteorites as Tetrataenite) as a promising material for rare-earth-free permanent magnet applications.
