Most of my time is spent editing, writing, and coaching folks to write and edit well. And to read well, too; my Academic Reading Seminars consistently surprise and delight those who already read at a college level but have not discovered the secrets of scholarly reading. I help aspiring and working authors find their way through the wilderness of 21st-century creating and publishing. One of our most popular seminars at Wordsmith Writing Coaches is "Your Path to Publication," but we also offer free initial consultations that might set you on the right path, enough so that you can navigate the rest of it without our help. On the other hand, authorpreneurship is a grim path to burnout if you go solo. Wordsmith Writing Coaches also runs writing sprints (PRESS) and a critique group (SLAKE), which provide an encouraging community and lots of opportunities to learn and grow at a bargain price.When I'm not doing those things, or taking care of the business side of Fjeldheim, you might find me dabbling in one of these: Obstacle-course racing, skiing, bike commuting, dissertation coaching, debate judging, and exploring unappreciated bookstores & libraries... Or writing about space development, human spaceflight, entrepreneurship, semiotics, urban studies, incarnational ministry, poetry, spiritual disciplines and spiritual formation, ADHD issues, cross-cultural communication & conflict resolution, and multicultural/multiracial adoption issues...
