    I have held my commercial Captains license (USMM) for over 40 years. My Masters level license for commercial vessels of power and auxiliary sail, has been 100 tons. (is that 528,000 pounds?)It's neat to be on the water, and Captain of the big Tour Boats with up to 300 passengers, but that ranks WAY below celebrating 50 + years of being happily married to a Fantastic Lady!Oh well, the other good news is that I have "right sized" to a 38' classic Chesapeake Bay "deadrise", 1966 powerboat, and have continued my license for 50 tons. (264,000 pounds?)((the "tonnage" rating of a vessel is based on the weight of the amount of water it displaces))

    This was a neat operation. This company represented some large Dutch pension funds. They would buy large office buildings, manage them (that was me) reposition them with improvements and higher rents, and then sell them - generally some years later. Talk about "fun" in real estate!!! Mucho hard work too! The down side was all the corporate "entertainment" we had to do.

Hmmm, many years ago. This was during the "heat of the cold war"...... so there was a lot of stuff going on - but not bullets or rockets! I could not a have picked a better post. Met some really great guys on base and met some wonderful Scotsmen and gals.
