I am a senior at UC Santa Cruz, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Network and Digital Technology, with an expected graduation in June 2025. I have a strong passion for network engineering and cybersecurity, and I’m actively building my skills through coursework, technical projects, and hands-on work experience.Currently, I work as a Help Desk Technician at UCSC's Information Technology Services, where I diagnose and resolve technical tickets, train student workers, and manage a high volume of support calls. This role has honed my troubleshooting abilities and customer service skills, equipping me to tackle a wide range of IT challenges.My technical background includes languages such as Python, C, C++, and SQL, as well as tools like UTM, Linux, Git, AWS (EC2), MiniNet, ServiceNow, and Wireshark. I recently completed LinkedIn Learning certifications in Networking Foundations, with coursework covering topics such as IP addressing and networking basics.Key Projects:Chat Server-Client: Developed a TCP-based chat server and client using Python, implementing multithreading to handle multiple simultaneous connections and creating message broadcasting functionality for real-time communication.VPN Server: Deployed a VPN server on AWS EC2 using OpenVPN, establishing secure connections through SSH and performing IP address manipulation to change a local IP to a remote location.Leadership Experience: As a former board member of the Society of Professional Hispanic Engineers (SHPE) at UCSC, I collaborated with fellow board members to organize engineering workshops and professional events for over 40 Hispanic undergraduate students.
