Understanding the proper mechanics and form of a hockey stride, and being able to identify deficiencies and shortcomings in clients of all ages was a key aspect of this job.Taking those deficiencies and errors and effectively communicating them, while keeping confidence high was critical to an athletes success. I had to keep clients properly motivated and engaged throughout an entire training session, which was a unique challenge that I navigated when working with athletes as young as 5 years old. Adjusting exercises and drills to keep training innovative and fresh, as to avoid client disinterest/burnout was something I found was key to client retention, and development. I created new training protocols for goalies, with varying degrees of difficulty and progressions. I also had to have great time management to ensure clients got a full training session, and to avoid going over the time allotted.

At the LCBO, I was working the cash register, facing, stocking and organizing merchandise, helping customers find product, as well as product suggestions.Identifying second hand purchases, underage customers and customers under the influence was also a key part of the job. Creating a welcoming, open and positive experience to all customers was something I excelled in, as well as having a broad understanding of merchandise to enhance the customers experience. I was also regularly handling, counting, storing and transferring large amounts of cash between tills, the work safe, and customers on a daily basis. This required a large amount of confidence in my own abilities, as well as a high level of comfortability counting and handling large amounts of cash, while also serving customers.

During my time at McGuire's, I was able to work with goaltenders at all age and skill levels, as well as effectively communicate goals and expectations of goaltenders, and put together an effective training session unique to the goalies needs.I excelled in identifying clients weaknesses and strengths, and found ways to work with the goalies shortcomings while keeping their confidence high and mentality strong. I also found unique ways of making each goalie excel and grow under my training, as each client has different needs/goals.Communicating with parents for the next steps/room for improvement was a vital part of the job, in order to work with them to get the most out of the client.

Provide members with exceptional customer service, making them feel welcome and at home at the golf course. While at Clublink, the work pace was rapid and I had to learn to handle a high activity environment, as well as being an effective and contributing member of a team. Making sure all golf carts were properly cleaned, stored, charged and ready for members, and properly cleaning and storing members clubs for their next round. Providing course suggestions for golfers, as well as having exceptional knowledge of the course layout for directions to golf holes, parking lots, restaurants etc. was a requirement, and being personable and welcoming to members was a great asset.
