Project Manager Theun Hinboun Extension Project, Ban Nahin, Lao PDR. Single handedly tenders, sells, commissions and opens EM 1 camp on short notice. Assists clients with procurement, re-designs and re-builds kitchens, storage spaces, club houses and minimart. Responsible for all onsite management for a 250 man camp with staff from more than seven nations: operations, finance, contracts administration, HR, government relations, client interface etc.

Continued to manage Vientiane activities, back-up operations at NT2 project, oversaw remote site business development in SEA. Signed 2 major deals in a tough economic environment, 100k and 150kUSD monthly turnover. Served as temporary project director for various SEA projects.

Country Manager, Lao PDR. Continued as Project Director Aden Services Nam Theun 2 Project duties as below and managed two projects in Vientiane: Ecole Hoffet - French language school and Lao Tobacco Limited. Oversaw 270 local and international employees. Responsible for all contacts with Lao government, from Ministry of Energy and Mines to Finance. Responsible for contract negotiations and renewals.

Responsible for five remote site camps: all onsite operations, logistics, contract administration, financial results, human resources, and customer relations. Managed two hundred plus local and international staff spread over 150 kms in a very remote area of Lao PDR. Wrote company’s first operations manual as well as an overview of Lao history and geography.

Jobsite coordinator and interpreter on international cement import unloading project, St. Nazaire, France. Liaison between Scandinavian contractors (HW Carlsen, F L Smidth, Benima), French clients (MTTM, Eurostockage, Port Authority) and French sub-contractors (RBL, CMI). In charge of translating all information, data, and technical drawings exchanged between English and French speaking engineers and directors in meetings as well as on site. Assisted jobsite supervisors in technical and commercial matters.

Co-creator of Space Cowboys, event production LLC in San Francisco. Played major role in organizing international arts festival Burning Man in the Nevada desert. Planned, organized and managed camps of more than 100 residents in an extreme and primitive environment.
