I am the lead parent and carer wellbeing practitioner. As a behaviour change specialist, I have worked with over 6,000 clients signposted via Gp surgeries or in workplace health settings. My early background is in adventurous activities coordination and management equips me with the skills to design and oversee this novel aspect of our programme. I believe in being up front about my own personal challenges and I use these experiences to inspire others and help them realise their potential. I am a lifelong learner and in doing so have discovered ways to overcome adversity and achieve my goals. I feel this relatability to people is what makes me a good motivator. I left school without any ‘meaningful’ qualifications having spent all secondary education within ‘remedial’ English due to challenges i faced in mainstream school systems with dyslexia. However, being inspired by some key individuals who supported my strengths I left school with a love of both sport and all things outdoors. Since that time I have gone on to complete a degree in Sports Science and a master’s degree in Psychology. I am a member of the British Psychological society. I have worked in community development and engagement for the 3rd sector for over 20 years, being instrumental in the development of HealthNet, South Tyneside’s health forum, I continue to give time, by serving as Vice Chair. My sporting achievements aside from my career accolades are extensive. I have completed many endurance events and challenges, most notably 3x Ironman Triathlons, The Wainwrights (All Lake district mountains)and many other crazy events. I love to travel around the world but what I love the most is to seek adventure in nature. Ive climbed and skied all over the world but prefer the Alps and North America. I love nothing better than helping people and families feel in control of their lives. Strengths Teaching self-care, resilience, motivation, confidence, stress management, nutrition, fitness, mountaineering and many other outdoor pursuits.
