I produced the morning show, '12 News Today' and was in charge of the 5:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. half hours. I covered several local breaking news stories, some of which have gained national attention. I strived to bring viewers a creatively dynamic newscast with new, updated and impactful stories.

This was my first producing job. I started out as an Associate Producer and began producing newscasts in less than a month. I was promoted to News Producer in just five months and was responsible for managing the weekend morning show from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.While I was hired to produce newscasts, I also produced website and social media content. I helped our team significantly increase social media engagement over a three-year period. In 2017, we ended the year with about 3 million social media interactions. In 2019, we finished with more than 8 million interactions. Management ended up giving me more responsibility as a digital producer because of my ability to increase website traffic and social media engagement.
