As an operations manager at Back Of The Net Events, I oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of various sports events in and around the North East of England. I work with a team of event coordinators, vendors, sponsors, and volunteers to ensure the events are safe, enjoyable, and profitable. I also manage the budget, marketing, and customer service aspects of the events.I am a 3rd year BSc Sports Management student at Northumbria University, where I have gained theoretical and practical knowledge of the sports industry, including coaching, leadership, governance, and ethics. I have also completed a 12-week placement as a communications assistant intern at Run Nation, where I helped organize running events across the UK and supported the social media, website, and newsletter campaigns. I am passionate about sports and its positive impact on people's health, well-being, and community. My goal is to pursue a career in the sports industry and create memorable and meaningful experiences for participants and spectators.
