About Nícolas Agostini

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Northeastern University. In 2015, I completed my Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS, Brazil). I have worked in different research and development fields (Renewable Energies, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and Health-care area, Computer Architecture) perfecting valuable skills and learning how to tackle challenges faced in interdisciplinary projects.Currently, my primary research interests include Computer Architecture and High-Performance Computing. I enjoy teaching and mentoring, and have instructed courses such as Compilers, GPU Programming, and Embedded Robotics during my graduate career. Recently, I have been working on projects that focus on accelerating machine learning and linear algebra applications by proposing new algorithmic optimizations or computer architecture features.
