I founded Threshold Science Products LLC to provide resale and distribution services to electrophysiology and behavioral neuroscience products manufacturers worldwide as well as to offer a variety of research and business consulting services to researchers, institutions, and biotech companies of all types.

I founded Cerebroscope with several colleagues to develop a portable electronic concussion detection device. I co-invented the technology, and we have filed a provisional patent application. Cerebroscope was awarded with a Phase 1 NIH SBIR grant in late 2016 to pursue the development and clinical testing of a prototype device featuring our technology, and work is ongoing.

I served as CBDO of Spike Neuro.

I served as VP of Research and Development at FHC Inc.I provided support to the sales staff for research-oriented products, assisted in the preparation and submission of grants, and provided guidance regarding the development and manufacturing of novel electro-physiological research devices.

As director of business development, I spearheaded the formation of a new clinical products division responsible for marketing electrode systems for neuromodulation therapy. In addition, I served as co-director of product research and development, and managed customer service and technical support.

I provided business development consultation services to MLS, principally toward the formation of a new clinical products division. My duties included business plan development, project management, market research, development of financial projections, authoring and editing of promotional materials, grant application authoring, and representing MLS at professional conferences.

I served as a doctoral student researcher at the University of Pittsburgh in the Neural Tissue Engineering lab under Dr. Tracy Cui until I graduated in December 2013.My principal focus of study was the development of foreign body tissue reaction around implanted intracortical recording probes, as well as novel engineering strategies toward modifying and attenuating tissue inflammation to improve probe chronic performance. In particular, I studied the utility of conducting polymer films such as PEDOT in the development of new electrode engineering strategies.I also led a project involved with the study and development of novel EEG electrode materials for low impedance, preparation-free recording. This work led to a paper and patent, which my group is currently marketing to interested industrial partners.My research experience includes implantation surgery, electrochemical synthesis, impedance spectroscopy, neurophysiological recording, various imaging methods including immunofluorescence and SEM, and cell culture.

I spent a year of my Masters program studying with Dr. Justin Sanchez at the University of Florida. The focus of my work was the characterization of material degradation of chronically implanted intracortical neural probes. My experience included analysis of neural recording, SEM, and tissue processing.

While in my Masters program I worked with Dr. Thomas Eskin of the University of Florida Department of Pathology. I spearheaded a project involved with the preparation, TEM microscopy, and analysis of rat sciatic nerve to develop new methods of computerized myelin morphology quantification.
