I believe in building systems that are regenerative and life-affirming. Ontological Design is this idea that everything we design, in turn, designs us back. That through architecture, lighting, texture, sound, taste, words and experiences we can change how we think and how we feel.In this liminal age of big changes we have a unique historical opportunity to redesign how we live in right relationship with the Planet and our peers. My commitment is to use Space and Experience to design a better world. A world where we can redefine our connection with other, self and nature. A regenerative world where we give more than we take.In recent years I’ve shifted my work towards this through the design and development of Metamodern Villages, intentional spaces and immersive narrative experiences to foster Ektasis, Catharsis and Communitas. I believe behavior is a function of culture. If we change culture, everything changes.I co-founded the Design Science Studio along with the Buckminster Fuller Institute, a decade-long accelerator created to mentor, support and fund thousands of artists and system thinkers working on designing a regenerative future that works for all, and also re:build, a community and festival to foster regenerative villages and new ways of building. The eclecticism in my career has allowed me to be a generalist and approach complex problems with a holistic perspective.I've designed and curated experiences all around the world, from a fortress on an island with its own speakeasy to narrative dinners that spanned 700 years and dozens of performers. I've worked for European royalty and personalities like Elon Musk. When I was 20 years old, I commanded a team of 200 people to produce a beautiful project: The Cosmonaut. It was the first crowdfunding project in Spain and raised more than half a million dollars. It became a case study in film and business schools all around the world. After going to the Moon and back, I founded my second company: Future Lighthouse. During three years, we turned it into one of the world’s leading Virtual Reality studios, winning numerous awards and paving the way for the future of storytelling by working with some major Hollywood Studios and Oculus.As a director I directed a feature film and 36 shortfilms, received 18 international awards, gave more than a 100 talks in 4 continents, managed teams and fostered innovation.I studied exponential technologies at GSP Singularity University and I've run four companies as CEO for over twelve years.
