Nic is a serial entrepreneur. Before his involvement in education, he founded three tech start-ups which were later acquired. His business acumen and results orientation were instrumental in raising and managing over 75 million dollars in private financing.He holds mobile advertising patents, has written industry books, and has provided consulting services worldwide. Since 2016, Nic has launched the ChallengeU dropout recovery program in partnership with Canadian public schools to change the life trajectory of the most vulnerable youth. In 2022, Nic launched the first ChallengeU dropout prevention and recovery e-school in Ohio, USA.In 2009, Nic started his education journey by founding the Mobilys Foundation, a charity financed by Google, banks, and the government. The foundation’s mission is school dropout prevention by using social media to connect teachers, parents, and the community together to support the students. As a co-founder and EVP at Microcell i5, he planned, developed and operated the largest Canadian GSM Portal providing mobile interactive services and secure mCommerce transactions to Fido subscribers. At Cescom, he was co-founder and Vice-President, Corporate Development and also served as an active board member. His responsibilities mainly included closing the corporate financing and launching Cescom's international VoIP services in 12 countries. Cescom was acquired by Intelco Communication.At Cesart International, as co-founder, Vice-President and board member, Nic was responsible for marketing and strategic development.
