Australian trading company exporting Mining, Construction & Agricultural Equipment & spare parts to Pacific Islands (mainly New Caledonia, French Polynesia, Wallis & Vanuatu)Responsibilities: Client portfolio development & management for business customers (industries: mining, agricultural, construction) based in French Polynesia - New Caledonia, Wallis Island etc. Sourcing products in Australia, Europe, Asia or United States Request quotations to suppliers and negotiate rates, delivery times and terms of payment Request quotation approvals to customers to order the goods Coordinate transport and shipping with Logistic Department to ensure prompt availability to customer Maintain correct record of goods delivered and ensuring appropriate documentation is distributed after verifications of quantities Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills Several business trips to New Caledonia to visit clients and prospect in order to develop the client portfolio or solve particular issues (mine site visits and head offices) Liaising on a daily basis via phone and emails in French with customers and in English with suppliers
