I am a trade mark specialist with 30 years of international trade mark experience. My passion is to use my commerce and law expertise to provide clients with strategic advice on a wide range of trade mark issues, including trade mark clearance searching and watching, trade mark registration and protection, trade mark dispute resolution including oppositions, non-use and revocation in Australia, New Zealand and, internationally. I am proud to have been recognised annually since 2014 for Prosecution and Strategy in the WTR1000, recognised as a WIPR Leader from 2021-2023 and as an IP Star in 2023. I was also chosen as a Finalist in the Best IP Specialist category in 2021 in the Beaton Client Choice Awards. At the start of my career, I worked at an IP specialist firm in South Africa where I was Head of the Foreign Trade Mark Department. I have also worked at an IP Specialist Firm in New Zealand. This has given me significant experience in trade mark laws around the world, as well as establishing a world wide network of associates. My practice at Griffith Hack continues to focus on strategic management of large Australian and international trade mark portfolios as well as broader aspects of branding. I am admitted to practice as a lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and I have been a Principal of Griffith Hack since July 2005. I actively participate in mentoring and training junior lawyers and enjoy seeing them progress through the ranks. I am interested in technology and how we can use technology to facilitate our interactions with our clients and to streamline our service offering.
