Executing global product strategy to enhance payment experiences in urban mobility and transportation.

Responsible for liberating the full potential of Visa's Contactless products, focussing on strategic cash displacement opportunities and new product innovation. Remit includes cards, wearables, tags and strategic acceptance products.Developed and now head of Visa Global Transit Solutions - a programme aimed at improving the commuter experience for billions of people around the world.

Within an inter-disciplinary team, Nick led the definition and delivery of groundbreaking Visa Contactless products:- Defined, delivered and marketed new Visa Contactless product propositions targeting the mass transit, vending and parking sectors (collectively valued at 225 bn-euro p.a).- Created and disseminated new commercial frameworks and operating regulations, in close conjunction with Executive Management, Member banks and Visa Inc.- Enabled and directly supported Transport for London’s launch of Visa Contactless acceptance on London Buses in December 2012. Phase 2 of this project, which launched in Sep 2014, expanded acceptance across the remainder of TfL's public transport network under a completely new transaction model; the first and largest project of its kind anywhere in the world.- Engaged with many other public transport operators and authorities across Europe to ensure they are poised to 'fast-follow'​ Transport for London's lead.- Led and completed the commercialisation of Visa Micro Tags, which have since been deployed in the millions of units by Visa Europe Member banks.- Delivered landmark changes to Visa's rules on Unattended Acceptance Terminals - following extensive research and piloting - which now permit deployment of 'Contactless-only' acceptance.- Ran many highly-rated Public, Vendor and Member events including conferences, forums and workshops, throughout the continent, in relation to initiatives he led.

Part of the senior management team, Nick was responsible for extending the reach and penetration of his company's telemetry product and service solutions.This role was a challenging blend of product management and market development - promoting disruptive solutions to incredibly traditional industries.Amongst many of his achievements, Nick successfully established Vianet as a European leader in unattended contactless payment acceptance, having signed deals with Coca-Cola Enterprises (and other blue-chip PLCs) to deliver an innovative new service solution for the London 2012 Games.

In this role, Nick was responsible for developing Vianet's overseas business, establishing relationships - and entering contractual frameworks - with multiple blue-chip organisations.

This role required Nick to deliver a series of 'special or major projects' from concept to solution through close cooperation with large/corporate customers.

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) are DTI-sponsored fast-track programmes for high-calibre Honours degree students. Two of Nick's five engineering projects delivered products that were successfully rolled-out by host company, Vianet Limited.

Nick undertook a broad range of engineering activities concerning communication, navigation and entertainment electronics aboard private yachts berthed on the Côte d'Azur, France.
