Nicolas Mottis is Full Professor at Ecole Polytechnique in the Management of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Department. He created and was Director of the Executive Master from 2016 to 2021. He is responsible for the Doctoral Program in Management and Social Sciences of IP Paris.He obtained his doctorate in economics from Ecole Polytechnique (France) in 1993 and a “Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches” (qualification to supervise research) from the University Paris Dauphine in 2002. He has been Visiting Faculty at Stanford (US), the Harvard Business School (US), the Australian Graduate School of Management (Sydney), the University of Queensland (Australia) and the University of Mannheim (Germany).His research focus on strategic control (corporate governance, value creation, socially responsible investment, incentives and performance measurement) and innovation management (project management, entrepreneurship) on which he has published many articles and several books.He is Board Member of the FIR (French Social Investment Forum), President of the Scientific Committee of Finansol-FAIR, and Member of the AMF (French Financial Market Regulator) Climate and Sustainable Finance Commission.He is also member of the board of the Ecole de Paris du Management since 2008 and President of Fondation Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors without Borders Foundation).
