I am Nicolas Pardo Arias, a dedicated Computer Science undergraduate and Software Engineering graduate from the National University of Colombia. My true passion lies in competitive programming, a pursuit that has shaped my problem-solving abilities, fostered creativity, and deepened my understanding of algorithms and efficient coding practices. Competitive programming has also instilled in me valuable teamwork and resilience under pressure, essential skills in the software development industry.Currently, I actively engage in a research group specializing in combinatorics and combinatorial algorithms. This experience has allowed me to explore the theoretical aspects of computer science, further honing my analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.My practical experience comes from my time at Epam Systems, where I contributed to various software development projects and learned the art of effective collaboration within a development team.While I was excited about the prospect of an internship at Meta, unforeseen layoffs led to its cancellation. However, this setback only fueled my determination to persist in my pursuit of excellence in computer science.I have been fortunate to participate in international competitive programming training events in countries like Cuba, Argentina, and Brazil. These experiences have broadened my knowledge in algorithms, discrete mathematics, and related subjects, keeping me at the forefront of the field.Beyond my love for mathematics and computer science, I am deeply committed to making a positive impact on society and contributing to the educational development of my beloved country, Colombia. Our nation has faced significant challenges due to episodes of violence that have hindered progress in computer science. My motivation extends beyond technical skills; I am driven by a desire to teach and help others.
