Champions International Consultants (CIC Asia) was established in Hong Kong to organize premium soccer camps for Chinese education institutions and, later, to manage China social media accounts of world-class athletes.• Co-founded international company with Italian colleague; led the overall strategy of the company and handled business development, marketing, execution of soccer camps and everything in between, as this was a highly entrepreneurial venture.• Managed teams of 10+ people and groups of 100+ participants during soccer camps.• Generated six-figures revenue in 2 years, and organized 10+ soccer camps/events in partnership with Bright Scholar, a China-based, NYSE-listed education group.• Secured contracts with top international athletes to manage their China social media accounts.• Secured sponsorship deals with companies from the US, Italy and China.

Regularly write opinion articles for China’s most important English language media outlet. Sample topics include: China – Latin America trade and investment relations, talent attraction policies, investment promotion, and e-commerce.

Led international investment promotion team recognized in international and national media sources.The investment promotion strategy I designed and executed with my team was ranked No. 1 in Mainland China and No. 4 in Asia by fDi Magazine, a Financial Times-affiliated publication and one of the leading publications in the field. The work of our team also received substantial media and institutional attention, with the European Chamber of Commerce in South China stating in its 2015/2016 Position Paper that it was a “model to follow.” In addition, drafted policy recommendations on how to enhance capabilities in outbound and inbound investment promotion; advised Chinese companies on going global, developed content for promotional materials following international standards, such as those of the World Bank and OECD; negotiated with international investors; and liaised with foreign chambers of commerce and media.
