Owner and CEO of Angular, a privately-held company based in Milan specializing in real estate retail developments in Northern Italy. Angular was founded in 2009 following a distinguished career in international real estate. Angular is further esteemed by the intellectual knowledge and experience of its private investors and managers, whose involvement with international real estate transactions began in 1962.He is owner with his wife Alessia and CEO of Fede Cheti, a well recognized brand of the design industry born in the Twenties and now active in the production of independent design eyewear fully Made in Italy.Prior to establishing Angular, Nicola has advised multinational corporations, real estate investment funds, merchant banks and privately-held entities with the real estate tax and financing aspects of structuring international mergers and acquisitions. Following his admission to the Milan Tax Advisors Association in 1996, he has been working for distinguished firms as a tax advisor before joining DLA Piper as a Sr Associate in 2003. In 2006 was named Partner and Director of the European Real Estate Tax Group.Nicola also assumed a leadership role within the real estate and international tax law communities with a direct involvement in the Italian Real Estate Association and the Association of German Real Estate Investors to help influence legislative changes in Italian Real Estate tax law.He resides with his wife Alessia Fugazzola Zeni and their two children and three dogs near Varese. With his wife he has launched and manages the Fondazione Italiana Diabete (FID - Italian Diabetes Foundation), which raises funds for international scientific research to find a cure for diabetes.
