Responsible for the curation of “Voice to the Voiceless: The Morehouse College, Martin Luther King, Jr. Collection”, a rotating exhibit in collaboration with Morehouse College and the Robert W. Woodruff Library.Responsible for developing and implementing educational materials for grades 3-12 that meet state and national standards as well as materials for higher education and lifelong learners.Conducts exhibit content training for volunteer docents to prepare for guided tours of The Center galleries.Responsible for maintaining partnerships with local colleges and universities and provide training, content workshops and tours as requested.Works with the Exhibits and Design Manager to make sure that exhibit content throughout The Center is updated as needed.Works with Manger of Programs to create and facilitate engaging workshops surrounding the content and themes presented in The Center’s exhibition spaces.

Interpreting Slave Life exists to help historic sites discuss the emotional topic of slavery in the United States through staff training, exhibit consultation and program development.With the start of the Civil War 150 years ago, now is the time to start the discussion of slavery; what it was, it's lasting and damaging effects and how we can grow from it. Responsible for creating and maintaining social media accounts for the Friendship Nine that spread word of upcoming appearances, historic facts about the Nine as well as "Where Are They Now?" updates, and any news the Nine wish to share about their experiences.The Friendship Nine are Civil Rights Icons whose sit in at McCrory's Variety Store in Rock Hill, SC in 1961 led to their arrest and the implementation of the "Jail, No Bail" initiative during the Civil Rights Movement.

I interpret the lives of enslaved African Americans and their experiences during the 18th and 19th centuries at Historic Brattonsville. I teach school groups from North and South Carolina about the enslaved experience through educational programs that meet the educational standards for the school districts.Also, I work as an interpreter at the Museum of York County, assisting with school groups who come in for field trips to learn about natural history, as well as space.
