Responsible for the overall administration and management of The Matthews House, including service programs, fundraising, and business operations. Areas of responsibility include planning and evaluation, policy development and administration, personnel and fiscal management, and public relations. • Assume responsibility for the organization’s achievement of its mission and financial objectives• Ensure that a long-range strategy is adopted and that it achieves its mission in an appropriate and timely manner• Oversee the flow of funds to ensure steady progress towards goals, achievement of the mission, and that proper allocation reflects present and future potential • Serve as the chief spokesperson for the organization and ensure proper representation to its various constituencies• Involve each board member at an optimum level. Stimulate each to reach the highest potential as a board member• Work with the board chair to ensure an effective and efficient board committee structure.• Serve as a chief executive officer of the organization; report to the board of directors and lead the organization’s success. • Direct and formulate the plan for achieving the agency’s philosophy, mission, strategy, annual goals, and objectives• Undertakes and oversees all employment actions for The Matthews Houses staff within guidelines/policies set by the board.• Serves as the primary organization planner, setting goals and objectives and developing projections of needs and funding. • Significant knowledge of the human service field
