Core responsibilities include:• Developing and drafting Business cases for individual schools• Strategic Asset Management planning for school sites• Drafting Equality Impact Assessments for individual schools and a 17 school ‘Building Schools for the Future’ (BSF) programme

Core responsibilities included:• To establish project plans and process structure to ensure the draft proposals could be signed off by the Mayor within expected timeframes• Work with policy technical leads and consultants to finalise draft policy positions • Editorial lead on the production of a document outlining the process and the Mayor’s intention for the review • Development and implementation of the communications strategy

• Policy development to set up a new government sponsored body – particularly it’s governance, financial and organisational arrangements • Lead policy contact for the project• Lead on internal and external stakeholder communications• Accounting officer duties for a budget of £4.1m

• Research and write policy briefings to Ministers on related economic issues and papers from other departments with implications for Maori at the various Cabinet Committees;• Preparing Ministerial correspondence;• Leading or working collaboratively with other agencies on key government policy areas; • Providing second tier policy advice to other departments; and• Involvement in Government-wide Officials Groups
