• Recruited to develop and teach the Linux, administration, automation, cloud, git, intro to devops, monitoring and trending portions of the BAS in Networking program.• I teach Linux and cloud automation including automation of Nagios, Cacti, LDAP, Postgres, NFS, OpenVPN, and Django server startup scripts. I teach students to write scripts that use the google cloud API to spin up self-installing machines from the command line. We also do a hands-on intro unit on Chef, Ansible, and Terraform (NTI-300, 310 & 320)• I teach Linux administration and scripting in python & bash and database design in MSSQL & MySQL as well as an intro to MongoDB. (NTI-310 & ITC-220)• I teach application monitoring and trending, including custom Nagios script creation, configuration management, and custom RPM compilation. (NTI-320)• The final for the full year of classes is for students to create a single script, that when run, spins up a properly configured interdependent network of machines (LDAP, NFS, Django, Postgres, Apache, Rsyslog, Nagios, Cacti, and two Ubuntu clients, with front and back-ends connected) under monitoring and trending on the cloud in under 20 minutes.
