As the Event Coordinator for the Fujianese Culture Club at Stony Brook University, I delegated the planning, organization, and execution of engaging events designed to celebrate and promote Fujianese culture's rich heritage and traditions. I demonstrated a passionate commitment to fostering cultural appreciation and community engagement among students on campus. Notable Event: Love & Lunar Wishes, which uniquely blended the themes of Valentine's Day and Chinese New Year. This event provided a platform for students to celebrate love and friendship across cultures by writing heartfelt Valentine's letters, which were then wrapped in traditional Chinese red packets. As part of the event, myself and fellow event coordinators embarked on a campus-wide journey to deliver these special letters to their recipients, spreading joy and fostering connections within the student body.
