I am a financial leader with over 17 years of experience leading accounting, finance and operations teams to successful outcomes. As a college athlete, I am driven by a culture of teamwork, accountability and excellence. Within businesses, I continue to promote the compounding effect of teamwork and work to build high-performing teams that cross traditional boundaries. I believe that finance and operational professionals can find teams and teammates across any and all functions of a business when they approach their roles as trusted advisors working towards shared goals. I believe businesses are most effective when all teammates are committed to the greater efforts and success of the organization. In action, this means establishing shared business goals, providing an environment to share open and honest dialogue of progress, and celebrating successes as a larger team. My philosophy has always been to lead by showing and doing as opposed to by saying. I lead by example, and work to exemplify integrity, collaboration, and compassion in my day-to-day work. Leadership looks different each day, sometimes it requires high-energy, motivation and urgency and other days it requires slowing down, listening and compassion. I do my best to acknowledge what my teams need from me each day to be their best, and ask that they do the same for each other. Last but not least, I aspire to drive outsized impact for not just businesses but broader initiatives impacting society and the environment. The intersection of my aspirations for positive social and environmental impact and my knowledge and expertise is where I look for opportunities.
