I designed and led experiences for our school's Gifted-Talented (GT) population. I was responsible for teaching all 3rd and 4th grade accelerated math curriculum, as well as 1st and 2nd inquiry-based classes. In each, we focused on developing critical thinking skills, cultivating a growth mindset, and being owners of our own learning.I coordinated and administered testing to approximately 200 students each school year. This portion of my role included hosting parent meetings, analyzing data, and communicating results.I served on our GT Leadership Committee where I supported our district coordinator in decision-making and planning. I also served on our District's GT Advisory Group as the elementary liaison. The advisory group consisted of a variety of stakeholders and offered opportunities for me to share perspective and ideas from my standpoint while gaining insight from other points of view.I was selected to share at the Toddle TIES (The Inquiry Educators Summit) 2022 Global Conference. I connected with educators around the world and presented a self-made video about one way I encourage students to learn. (Video Attached)

I loved teaching this age group and collaborating with my team. Together, my coworkers and I encouraged one another to think creativity and serve our students with a bigger purpose in mind. I was fortune to work with inspirational leaders who promoted inquiry-based learning. In addition to my duties as a classroom teacher, I took opportunities to present to multiple audiences (at campus and district level) about 'Mindfulness in Education.'

In January 2021, I began volunteering with Beat 4 Beat to gain experience with graphic design and marketing. I helped make decisions about logo design and wrote the creative brief for the non-profit during their rebrand. Once they launched, I was asked me to serve on the board. Since then, I've brainstormed and executed ideas for fundraising, reached out to a variety of stakeholders and mentors in the industry, and gained a lot of insight on how non-profits function.
